Oh the joys of Kindergarten

Some day I will write a book about my adventures of being a kindergarten teacher, I would probably make more money doing that then teaching but I do love my job.
Story #1:
I am sitting on my chair and the kids are joining me on the carpet. While I am sitting there I can feel some type of wetness all over my freshly manicured toes and bottom of my foot. I look down to see one of my little gems has a very runny nose. His snot had dripped all over my open toe sandals and was going in between my toes. He sucks his snot back up his nose and looks at me and smiles. Trying not to gag, I get a Kleenex for him and for my poor foot. Number 1 reason I go through bottles of sanitizer.
Story #2:
I have one little boy who is cute as a button, the smallest one in the class with the loudest voice by far. I am helping another student when he runs over to me, as if his desk were on fire and says, "Mrs. T, Mrs. T Tino does not like his balls", I said, "What?" as if I didn't know what he was talking about, because he couldn't be talking about "those balls", could he? Frantically he tells me again and again. So I walk over to his desk to investigate, I ask Tino, "you mean basketballs out at recess right?" (Mind you many of my kiddos are just learning English, so I was crossing my fingers what he was saying just wasn't coming out right.) The other little boy next to him, says "No Mrs. T, he means these balls" pointing to the "balls" he was referring to. I said, "thank you" very politely and tried not to laugh and pondered what exactly to say next. I informed the boys we only talk about basketballs or baseballs at school and that the "other balls" should be talked about at home.
Oh the joys of Kindergarten!

Is he not the cutest cowboy ever?

My small obsession with cowboys lead me to this wonderful hat at the fair. It is just his size and adorable as ever! Yahoo Cowboy Carter!

9 months already!

From 6 weeks to 3 months, 6 months and now 9 months! Where has the time gone? I wish there was more minutes in a day. I am back at work now and missing Carter more then ever. I am so afraid to miss something just by looking at these pictures, I don't know where the time has gone. I can't believe I will be planning for his first birthday in 3 months!
Carter is getting stronger every day. His papa and I are working with him every day, getting him ready to crawl. He is able to put himself into a crawling position but just hasn't quite firgured out how to move forward. I have been trying to motivate him with toys to move towards them, I think this month he will do it. We'll see. . . Another thing we are working on is him feeding himself, not with spoons or anything just finger food. He loves puffs (baby crack) but he will not put them in his mouth. He sits like a baby bird waiting for the puff to appear on his tongue. And as far as sitting up, he is doing pretty well. Still a little wobbly at times but somewhat stable. Carter's favorite position is what I call the superman. This child can literally balance on his tummy forever. Leg and arms off the ground, the perfect pilates student!
Well we are heading off to the fair today, so I am sure I will have some great pics to post later. I hear the little one calling for me also. I still have so much more to say but will have to get back later!

Shopping with the girls

Carter, Grandma Carol and I went back to school shopping at the North Bend outlets. Anyone who has children should shop up there, they have every children's store possible- Baby Gap, Gymboree, Children's place, Carter's and tons more. Carter got some super cute new fall clothes.

After the shopping event, Eric, Carter and I went to Maria and Dean's new house for his dad's 50th birthday. I show up wearing the exact same outfit as Maria. All night long people are tapping me on the shoulder saying "Hey Maria, I means opps you're not Maria." It was pretty funny.

Seeing the Becker family

My cousin Corey was in town from LA with his band which prompted the Becker crew to get together for dinner at the good old Spagetti Factory. My oldest cousin Eric and his wife Sally just had their forth baby. They have the most beautiful and well mannered children I have ever meet. There is Sydney (8), True (5), Casen (3), and new baby Korin (3months). In the last couple years we have got to see them at least twice a year, it is our turn to go visit them now.

Sun Lakes

Our last road trip of the summer we headed over to Sun Lakes. We had a blast, I can't wait to go back again. We stayed in a little trailer with Tiffany, Olly and their two boys, Hayden(2) and Brody(7 months). Our little water boy Carter enjoyed himself in the lake and pool. Great place to go with a family, they have a little store, ice cream shop (Eric's favorite-Chocolate Explosion), golf course, miniature golf and so much more.

1st official haircut

I have been cutting Carter's hair for months now but this was his first official cut at the salon. Excuse my big hair in the background, Carter was more scared of me then of the trimmer. Bren got him nice and trimmed up.
