Conversations and comments to avoid with someone who is feeling like she is going to pop:
“Oh just wait honey you don’t know what big is”
“I was due in December also, I didn’t have them until January”
“The first one is always overdue”
“You may gain 5 or more pounds a week your last month”
“Looks like you have gained some more weight”
I love everyone’s stories but sometimes things are better left unsaid. (I am being sarcastic just in case you didn’t know!!! Ha! Ha!)

Shower at my beautiful sister in laws!!!
Erin and Grandma Georgia did an outstanding job on our shower! Yummy food and entertaining games! Thank you so much! I can't wait for baby Carter to play with his cousin Piper!
We am so thankful for all of the beautiful gifts we received this weekend. Eric, Carter and I are very blessed to have such considerate loving friends and family. We couldn’t do it without you all. Thank you so much!!!
Carter got a new ride. . .
My Auntie Molly went above and beyond and bought baby Carter a jogger. It is gorgeous! We put Lucy (her puppy) in the jogger for a test drive. Then Grandma took it for a spin with her glass of chardonnay. It even has a speedometer and a hook up for my IPOD, how cool is that?! A special thank you to Molly who did such a wonderful job hosting my shower. Another special thank you to Diane, Mo and of course my mama for helping with the shower.
Busy weekend. . .
What an eventful weekend. I am exhausted, I should probably be sleeping right now instead of blogging but I had to give an update. So this weekend I had a shower at my Aunt Molly’s in Seattle, Eric & my father in laws birthday in Bremerton, and a shower at my sister in laws new house in Bremerton. Its official, no more sleepovers, I cannot be away from my big bed, perfect pillows and beautiful comfy blankets. My comfort factor is high, if not number one on the priority list.

Friday Harbor con't . . .
Friday Harbor getaway
This weekend we celebrated Eric’s birthday (his b-day is October 22) in Friday Harbor. We could not have asked for better weather. It was two perfect fall days, sunny and gorgeous but with a crisp cold bite in the air. Ideal for a hot drink, 10 layers of clothes and UGG boots. We stayed at the Friday Harbor House which was right off of the ferry dock. Our room had a fire place, balcony, jetted Jacuzzi tub, flat screen TV and a big soft comfy bed. The restaurant we had dinner at was literally 10 steps away from our hotel, very convenient for the pregnant lady. Our dinner was fabulous, I had yummy pasta that I ate about three bites of and was full. Baby Carter is consuming more space in my tummy making it harder for Mommy to enjoy an entire meal. Eric had “poor Mary’s little” lamb for dinner. I kept telling him Mary was going to be so upset when she found out he was eating her lamb, which had no effect on him what’s so ever. He still ate the poor thing without a second thought. For desert we had ice cream with homemade fudge. It was heavenly, thank goodness for pregnancy allowing you to eat a little extra dessert. I better enjoy it while I can because in 8 weeks there will be a lot of running and no dessert in sight.
Any how we had a great weekend. I cannot believe that I am already 8 months pregnant. Getting to this point it feels like it has flown by but now it feels like time is at a stand still. I can’t wait to meet little Carter. I want to see his sweet face and count his ten toes and fingers. I am so excited to hold him for the very first time. I can’t wait to see Eric hold him for the first time. It shouldn’t be long now. The count down is on.

Pumpkin patch pictures (my favorite)!
My mom and dad meet us at the farm later on. Luckily they didn't have to experience the dreaded corn maze. My mother and I were going crazy with the cameras! Eric thought the Paparazzi were there. He loves it! One day he will look back and say "thank for preserving our beautiful memories together on film, what would I have done without you"! Priceless I know. . .
Lost in a corn maze. . .
So today Eric and I set out to the pumpkin patch. I absolutly love pumpkin patchs! Yet I have never experienced a corn maze while visiting the patch before. These things are not for children nor pregnant women who have to pee a lot. We were seriously lost for over an hour. You were suppose to find six mailboxes and get your card stamped at each one to get your prize at the end. Ha! We made it to two and it took more then a hour! We eventually had to take the "emergency exit" to use the bathroom. Luckily Eric had to go also so it wasn't just me. I was having trouble walking and concentrating towards the end because I had to pee so bad. You could take the exit and go back but luckily Eric said no. I didn't want the stinkin prize anyhow! I heard parents asking "how long will it take if I let my kids go in on their own?" Ha, good luck if you ever see them again. This place was crazy! Two grown adults could not find their way out. Great for an afternoon of babysitting if you want to organize losing your children for a couple hours.

Pregnancy pictures. . .
Here are just a few. Again I have to thank my dearest brother Joshua for doing an amazing job. However Eric decided he doesn't have a career in modeling. He wasn't exactly the most patient model. He complained more than the pregnant lady and photographer put together. It was quite entertaining to say the least!
The photographer
My dearest brother, baby Carter's loving uncle did Eric and I's maternity pictures. They turned out beautiful. I am so impressed with my little brother, so talented! Who knew, just kidding Josher! He loves it when you call him Josher. Here is a little preview of the set up and I will share some of the pictures he did with you also! You can also check out his blog at:
