Our family video- Spring Benefit for Children's Therapy

There are no words to describe the feeling I felt on this very special night. My cheeks hurt from smiling, my eyes swollen from crying, and my heart racing from nerves and excitement. I was literally beaming with pride. I never felt more proud of our family then on this occasion.
Children's Therapy had put together a video featuring the story of Carter and how we got to where we are today. We shared our down right fears of the unknown to our most precious moments experienced in raising Carter. We let our guards down in hopes one we could touch one life with our story. We wanted to say that is was okay to hurt because eventually that hurt will be replaced with over joyous love and affection for a baby who is absolutely perfect. We wanted to say how our three year old has changed our life in ways we didn't know possible. We love with our entire heart and soul and that is because we were blessed with Carter.
I want to thank Carter's therapist Linda (PT), Christina (Speech), Ruth (Aqua therapist), Peggy (teacher at CTC), Vicki (teacher at CTC) and so many others (the list could go on and on) for teaching and loving our little boy. Thank you Barry for filming and capturing our family in such a beautiful way. Thank you Jon for your creative ways and brilliant ideas with photography and filming and thank you for choosing our family to be a part of this video. You have all played a part in touching our families lives and for that we will forever be grateful. You truly are part of our family. The words thank you can't even begin to describe my gratitude. I hope one day to work at the center to show families like you have shown mine that anything is possible. I love you all!
And if you would like to watch the amazing video done by Children's Therapy you can check it out here. Thanks for listening to our story.
I met so many beautiful and wonderful people on Saturday. The room was bursting with love, affection and acceptance. A place to feel safe and comforted by others who have shared my same feelings. All who's lives have been touched by Children's Therapy and their outstanding staff. I hope I can be as amazing as the individuals I met on Saturday night. Your stories and strengthen was truly magnificent and inspiring. Thank you for the bottom of my heart.

(The benefit was at Emerald Downs and the theme was Kentucky Derby)

I'm so happy that you made this video. Through the obstacles, your family and Carter are truly amazing. And as always, thank you for loving my boy the way you love your boys.

I follow your blog through Erin's. I am a teacher for a birth to three agency in Lake Stevens. Your story brought tears to my eyes. It takes a lot of strength to put those feelings out there for everyone. I meet many mom's our age who have kiddos born with DS. I would love to share this video with them. You have a very cute family :)

Thanks for sharing the video through your blog. And once again, thanks so much for sharing! Your family was wonderful to work with throughout the production of Carter's Story. I feel so blessed to work where I do, and get to interact with the families and staff.
