Lunch at the drive in

Warmer days are hopefully coming to stay. We took the boys to an old drive in out in Buckley. French fries and chocolate milk shakes for a nice healthy lunch. Nolan ate mostly ketchup and Carter loved his french fries! Can't wait for sunshine all of the time!

Our family video- Spring Benefit for Children's Therapy

There are no words to describe the feeling I felt on this very special night. My cheeks hurt from smiling, my eyes swollen from crying, and my heart racing from nerves and excitement. I was literally beaming with pride. I never felt more proud of our family then on this occasion.
Children's Therapy had put together a video featuring the story of Carter and how we got to where we are today. We shared our down right fears of the unknown to our most precious moments experienced in raising Carter. We let our guards down in hopes one we could touch one life with our story. We wanted to say that is was okay to hurt because eventually that hurt will be replaced with over joyous love and affection for a baby who is absolutely perfect. We wanted to say how our three year old has changed our life in ways we didn't know possible. We love with our entire heart and soul and that is because we were blessed with Carter.
I want to thank Carter's therapist Linda (PT), Christina (Speech), Ruth (Aqua therapist), Peggy (teacher at CTC), Vicki (teacher at CTC) and so many others (the list could go on and on) for teaching and loving our little boy. Thank you Barry for filming and capturing our family in such a beautiful way. Thank you Jon for your creative ways and brilliant ideas with photography and filming and thank you for choosing our family to be a part of this video. You have all played a part in touching our families lives and for that we will forever be grateful. You truly are part of our family. The words thank you can't even begin to describe my gratitude. I hope one day to work at the center to show families like you have shown mine that anything is possible. I love you all!
And if you would like to watch the amazing video done by Children's Therapy you can check it out here. Thanks for listening to our story.
I met so many beautiful and wonderful people on Saturday. The room was bursting with love, affection and acceptance. A place to feel safe and comforted by others who have shared my same feelings. All who's lives have been touched by Children's Therapy and their outstanding staff. I hope I can be as amazing as the individuals I met on Saturday night. Your stories and strengthen was truly magnificent and inspiring. Thank you for the bottom of my heart.

(The benefit was at Emerald Downs and the theme was Kentucky Derby)

Monkey

I love these pictures because everytime I look at them I sing the George Michael song, "Monkey" Remember that song? It goes:

Why can't you do it? Why can't you set your monkey free? Always giving into it -Do you love your monkey or do you love me? Why can't you do it?Why do I have to share my baby with a monkey? Monkey. With a Monkey. Monkey. Lalala

You are a cool kid if you remember this song. I think I was in elementary school but I thought George Michael was dreamy. Ya know you will be singing it now. . .
